Recommendations

  • Christine BredenKoetter, Telecom Manager - U.S. Court of Appeals - 8th Circuit, Julie brings valuable work and people skills to her professional life. Julie and I were members of the Federal, US Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit Court within the Circuit Executive's Office. As the Manager of Telecommunications for the Circuit covering 7 States. I frequently interfaced with Julie in the course of my position during her entire tenure with the Circuit Executive's Office. Julie's title, Secretary to the Circuit Executive was a misnomer. Her organizational, managerial, and people skills far exceeded the title she held. Julie was always willing to help or assist, no matter what the task. She was an asset to the office from the moment of her arrival. Her bright sunny personality and willingness to go the extra step makes her an outstanding employee. She quickly established a reputation as a go-to person for help and assistance. Julie never failed in any task I saw her undertake. An annual endeavor was the Judicial Conference. A monumental task in which every Federal Judge and spouse from the Circuit receive an invitation. Bi-annually invitations are extended to the legal community within the purview of the Circuit increasing the attendance three-fold. The conference location changes annually, never in the same location twice. This makes every conference a monumental task. Julie accepted responsibilities and duties beyond her routine work flow and worked tirelessly to ensure this event was successful, and her supervisor, the Circuit Executive, shined. The Federal Judiciary is far different from working within the structure of a commercial enterprise; each Judge has wide latitude in how their Chambers is run and can be likened to working for multiple CEOs. They often expect requests to be executed quickly, efficiently, and with no margin of error. Julie met this bar continuously. In my frequent interaction with Judges and staff, with no exception, each expressed a high opinion of Julie's skills when her name was mentioned. The employment of Julie within your organization would be of great benefit and an asset to your company goals.
  • Pa Nhia Vang, Judicial Law Clerk at U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, Julie came to work for me when she was 23 with no prior legal experience or training. What she did have was intelligence, a willingness to work, a desire to learn, and a demand for excellence. My practice was just starting to gain traction and within a year had she relieved me of all my office management tasks, freeing me to devote my time exclusively to legal matters. She managed my law practice for fifteen years and drug us into the electronic age. If you knew me, you would know that was no easy task. She left with my blessing for better opportunities and I will tell anyone who has the opportunity to hire her, do it. Tell her what her job is and give her free reign, she will figure it out and get it done and you will be very pleased.
  • Kevin Boyne, Lawyer at Kevin Boyne P.C., Julie is not only extremely diligent in her work, but also a delight to have in the office. I was lucky to work with Julie, who assisted a mutual supervisor during a one year judicial clerkship. Julie goes above and beyond to make sure that all her work is completed-coming in on weekends and staying late on her own initiativeand also makes sure everyone on the team feels supported and appreciated. Julie always knew when to stop in with a kind word, or encouragement during tough or busy periods. Julie is an exceptional employee and would make a great addition to any team, especially those that are in need of someone with exceptional organizational skills, and event planning and coordination skills.
  • Marin Tollefson Almeida, Judicial Law Clerk at U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota, Julie is committed and caring. I worked with Julie for two years at the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. Julie assisted the Chief Judge while I worked as a law clerk. Julie supported the Judge in all aspects of his workhandling domestic and international travel, court administrative tasks, scheduling, event planning, and more. She demonstrated particular skill in handling international travel arrangements and coordinating with parties located overseas. Julie is professional and a hard worker, always striving to make her fast-paced work environment run smoothly. Julie's work was demanding, but she always maintained a sense of humor. Her sincere interest in her colleagues' well-being made us fast friends. She treats everyone with respect and goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated. Julie is the definition of a team player. Not only is she diligent when it comes to her own job, she is always willing to lend a hand to those around her. Julie would be an asset to any organization.
