Enthusiastic Elementary Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching 1st grade in Putnam County. I have been involved in leadership at Scott Teays Elementary by serving on the School Improvement Council, Lighthouse Team, teaching Extended Day Tutoring, and holding the position of Team Leader. I continue to learn new skills to implement into my classroom by completing a book study on Trauma-Sensitive Classroom by Patricia A. Jennings, iReady trainings, PALS training and earning 2021-22 PLTW Launch Classroom Teacher Credentials. I have served on countywide committees including "Closing the Gap Cohort" for Putnam County Elementary Teachers in 2020-21 and I am currently serving on Putnam County Schools "Professional Development Council" and will participate as a Teacher Leader in the upcoming LETRS (Science of Reading) training to begin in Putnam County in April.
