Aaren Isabel

Aaren is an emerging Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Enterprise Systems, Test Automation, and Mainframe technologies. With a diverse academic background that includes a B.S. in General Biology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Aaren has demonstrated the ability to quickly learn and adapt, as evidenced by his undergraduate research in exotic freshwater fish species and his creation of a historical database for these species in Tennessee. He also showcased his entrepreneurial skills by placing 3rd in UTC's "Hatch-it" business pitch competition.

His technical career began with roles in web content editing, front-end development, and automation, including an internship at Studious Analytics where he worked on Webflow, Zapier, and Airtable integrations. Following this, he completed the Tennessee State University Mainframe Bootcamp, where he gained expertise in z/OS, COBOL, JCL, and other core mainframe tools under the mentorship of industry leaders.

Currently a full-time Software Engineer in Test at Rocket Software, Aaren has leveraged his experience to design internal mapping software for test automation and further hone his skills in Agile methodologies, earning a Scrum Master certification. He is a fast learner, dedicated to continuous improvement, and committed to delivering quality solutions in complex technical environments.
