My first workforce experience outside of common house chores, was as young upcoming retail associate at a popular clothing department store nearby home. After being denied the year prior due to a starting pandemic which affected multiple phases of the world on a global scale it did not impede my breakthrough. As the following year at the age of 16 I applied and got approved to start my new opportunity. I wanted to prove a point not to anyone else but really to myself in general that I could make myself a so called "Work Horse" and exceed in school, work and life. For a 16 year old I did not shy away from any task, as I learned from a very experienced crew of incredible people whom took care of me and guided me into the right path by showing me some skills which included:

After my first spell in the department went exceptional I took some more than deserved vacations leading me back to the department a few months after my parting. This second spell for me felt more important than ever as I was already known for my efficiency, hard work and dedication to the work. Although this time with a little bit more of a twist as I was asked to assist and teach a new generation of workers with a similar profile as mine (Multitasking with School and Work life). Being a young understudy to an incredible lead before me was an understatement as I wanted to demonstrate that I had the knowledge and integrity to obtain the respect of my peers despite my age. As I excised in implementing innovative visual merchandising strategies, capturing customer attention and driving sales growth while also Optimizing floor plans according to seasonal trends for better visibility of popular products leading to an improved shopping experience.
My overall lead roll did not stop there as I was lead for not just one department if not for 2 as I stepped up when I had to locate inventory and place special orders for customers in our online OMNI orders which ranged from 10 to 200 packages per day depending on the season.
In January of 2023 I continued with my development in a rather more calmer and subsidized environment by obtaining a job at the Ralph Lauren Store. Although the workload reduced from the prior job I was still tasked with ensuring accurate representation of the brand by maintaining consistent messaging and visuals across all promotional materials and presentations, while also emphasizing a more direct and natural approach to ensure a strong sense of customer satisfaction/well being meanwhile they shopped.
After Graduating High School I came back to Santa Fe to continue studying and develop a new set of skills in a different environment from previous jobs. The reputation of the Motor Vehicle Department across al 50 states is incredibly daunting as many believe that all agents are just sour people, whom want you to struggle and stress about minor inconveniences but I was proven otherwise. Since the start I was grateful that I counted with an undeniable support from my other peers and management which help me learn everything from simple tasks like de-escalating and resolving customer complaints with punctual, polite and professional service and Assisting clients in navigating the claims process, ensuring timely resolution of issues and optimal outcomes. The few months that I stayed employed as an ATA really shielded and guided me towards the eventual goal of becoming a permanent hire for the State of NM.
After the exciting offer that was presented to me on November 25th of 2023, I was able to declare myself a State employee with a new range of variables as now I was able to get certification as a professional VIN Inspector and help peers when it came to doing Road Tests.The tasks stay the same but the expectation rose for me as I wanted to prove a point that being young should most certainly not affect you overall credibility and so I do. As of now I have helped roughly around 7,500 customers in a 1 year spam with an average transaction time of 7minutes with 57 seconds.
