- My current job is all the metal buying from P1020 to all 5000 series scrap that fits our process. I'm also responsible for maintaining inventory on all the hardeners and keeping an inventory on the floor but not to exceed the monthly inventory total budget given to me by the CEO.
- I also keep inventory for all the operating supplies for the entire plant from our local suppliers to casting, mill, furnace and slitter/wash line supplies.
- Staying in contact with all my brokers and suppliers throughout the weeks and keeping good relationships is very important part of my job.

Accomplishments
I started at Vulcan in June 2000 as a floor worker, coming in as someone that knew nothing about this industry or ever working in a factory. I worked my way to running the Hazellett caster for several years then moving the the old single stand mill as an operator for many more. I ran several crews and eventually transitioned to shift supervisor until the position was made as Metal buyer. I have been in this position since 2018 and have been keeping things moving and making cost saving for the company with every opportunity.
