- Worked directly with the Assistant Operations Manager to ensure company's steel inventory was correct compared to computer data, and met company policies.
- Often did cycle counts throughout the day to help keep inventory checked on a day to day basis.
- Checked inbound/outbound trucks to ensure what we were shipping, and or receiving was correct. Usually using different tags, graphs, and paint to determine the precise sizes and thickness of materials were correct.
- That also included using Calipers, Framing squares, and Tape measure's. To further verify down to the smallest detail that what steel piece we were shipping or receiving was actually cut to the right length. Or to see if the mill item we received was damaged or not.
- Used and trained on a overhead crane for about 6-7 months. I used this to unload and load trucks for customers, or either our company drivers. Also moved inventory within the warehouse itself, either to just make space or for (pre-pull). Which is just a section in the warehouse where we stashed certain inventory for customers, so when they come to pick up its already bundled together and prepared to ship.
- Analyzed data from quality audits to identify trends and make corrections and or help make tweaks to certain strategies to make the job more efficient for myself and others.
