Professional Activities

  • Kentucky Victim Assistance Academy (KVAA) Faculty Trainer

KVAA is a comprehensive, educational opportunity for new  victim assistance providers, advocates, and allied professionals. KVAA uses a multidisciplinary approach to improve the level of knowledge and skills of advocates and promotes the provision of consistent victim services across the state. The Academy also provides opportunities for crime victim service providers to connect with peers and empower Kentucky communities to recognize, respect and respond to the needs of their communities.

  • Kentucky Community Crisis Response Board Attorney General Appointed Representative

Created by statute, the KCCRB recruits and trains volunteers who will comprise a community crisis response team and to provide crisis response services statewide.

  • Attorney General's Survivor's Council Assistant

This council was created to advise and assist the Office on matters related to victims of crime, including awareness initiatives; training efforts; and publications, policy and legislative initiatives. Its purpose is to ensure that these efforts are victim-centered, effective and responsive to the needs of diverse victims.
