  • Collaborated on the Blended Learning Committee for the district rollout and integration of digital learning platforms at the elementary level. Preemptively thought of possible teacher and student questions and concerns to help create a training module to administer to the district's staff.
  • Planned and conducted engaging and effective training sessions to introduce digital platforms.
  • Worked on the STEM committee to help organize, develop, and coordinate the school's first STEM night. Coached teams on how to create effectual lessons that targeted key STEM concepts and drew student interest. Advised the committee on STEM products to purchase that would be most useful and easily integrated into the classroom.
  • Wrote and received a $10,000 grant to purchase Lego Mindstorm Robots to introduce coding to grades three through five. Founded Charles Haskell's first robotics club, and managed several teams to compete in the FIRST LEGO League. Used data, student samples, and high impact lesson examples to lead site staff in professional development in coding and STEM integration.
  • Sat on the Title Committee and worked with colleagues to analyze data and determine what resources we should allocate funds to in order to target our students with reading difficulties. Planned ways to boost student morale in reading and involve parents in their student's learning.
  • Worked on the Technology Committee to advise teachers on how to best implement the technology in the classroom.
  • Reviewed curriculum and devised alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding and overall engagement.
  • Held conferences with parents to address questions, discuss academic progress, explain student data, and encourage learning goals. Listened to parent concerns and questions and always found a solution that boosted parent/teacher communication and relations.
