- As a hostess, I seat people. I have to keep up with how many tables each waitress has.
- I write down and prep tables for reservations.
- When we get too busy, we have to go on a wait, and I keep note of who is next to be seated and which waitress is the most available for more tables.
- On top of sitting people, I help keep the salad bar prepped, and I bag and put away utensils.
- At the end of the night on Saturdays, as a hostess, I wipe each menu.
- Working behind the register, I check people out, help waitresses put in tickets, take calls for to-go orders, and bag up and check to-go orders.
- At the end of each night behind the register, we make note of each individual tip left for the waitresses and the tips left for to-go orders.
- On Saturdays, working the register, I wipe down all the surfaces, wipe the ticket books, sweep, and take out the trash.

- This job gets very chaotic when the line gets backed up because we have two windows and two workers at each window.
