I have worked as a baby sitter for about 4 years now around my neighborhood. I live in a neighborhood with many family's that have young kids. Starting from 2021 when I got CPR certified I have been babysitting non-stop. im very independent, and not scared of a challenge which serves me well when babysitting. The biggest challenge ive had so far is when i single handedly babysat 6 kids at once for 4 hours.. and while it was hard it was definitely a blast for them and something that im very proud of. To this day i try my best to babysit whenever im asked, and find lots of joy in it.
I worked as a volunteer at the Montlake turkey trot raising money for the university district food bank. My mom started the turkey trot race in our neighborhood and ever since ive worked every year to help prepare for the race and to raise money that goes to the food bank each year. I find alot of joy especially around the holiday season helping those in need, aswell as bringing the community together on thanksgiving day. I am a very social person and love connecting with new people making this task more fun than it is a task for me.
I worked as a CIT at Girls Rock Math camp. My hours were 5 days a week from 8:30am to 4pm. My job was to teach young girls math in fu ways, and serve as a teachers assistant. I mainly was tasked with walking around, helping kids with activity's, and keeping them engaged. I also managed small groups of kids and taught them new math skills. This was a great way to empower young girls, and help keep them engaged over the summer.
