- As a Grounds Keeper 1 my duties range very broadly. My main priority is making sure all the parks do not have any safety hazards for the public and to keep parks looking as nice as possible. - As an irrigation technician I was responsible for driving the company's vehicle with equipment everyday and ensuring all equipment is properly placed back. I perform property inspections to make sure everything is working properly or if i need to replace any sprinklers, and ensure sprinkler system is working properly. I resolve and make appropriate decisions with little to no supervision. I also repair main line breaks, lateral line breaks, replace irrigation valves, replace sprinklers and install new irrigation systems. When I had no irrigation duties I would help out crews with mowing, edging, trimming bushes, spraying weeds, plant trees etc.
