AI Publishing Tool
Shenandoah University 01/01/25 to Present
Designing and developing a full-stack AI-powered publishing platform integrating Google's Gemini API model to analyze and summarize book manuscripts, generate author reflections, and provide marketing insights. Building the backend using Node.js and Express with secure API key management, modular architecture, and efficient request handling. Implementing a React frontend enhanced with Bootstrap for responsive UI design and real-time content visualization. All original functionality was first coded in Python using Tkinter, then expanded and migrated into Visual Studio Code for cross-platform web deployment. This project demonstrates practical experience in web development, AI integration, secure API communication, and full-stack application design for real-world creative workflows.
Phishing Awareness Training Program
Shenandoah University 06/01/25 to 08/31/25
Developed and implemented an interactive phishing-awareness training platform as part of Shenandoah University's Summer Symposium research initiative. Designed and programmed a series of educational phishing-simulation games to train employees at Five Guys and Hallmark on identifying, reporting, and preventing phishing attacks. Built all game logic and interfaces through original coding, focusing on realistic email scenarios and adaptive feedback mechanisms. Conducted pre- and post-assessment testing, which demonstrated a measurable improvement in participants' ability to detect phishing attempts. This project combined software development, cybersecurity awareness, and user-centered instructional design to enhance organizational resilience against social engineering threats.
