Summary

As an early childhood educator for many years I have contributed my skills to facilitate and work with staff and students to create a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn each school year. Creating life-long learners is a goal of mine, as well as being a life-long learner myself. I am looking forward to learning and developing my early childhood teaching craft further so I can implement them into my classroom for my young learners. Adapting and incorporating new skills and strategies to my teaching methods will increase student engagement levels through developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for young learners to thrive both socially and academically. Additionally, I am challenging myself professionally by learning some strong leadership abilities to bring back to my school district and colleagues.

"Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another."
