At Metrie, we would start our work shift by unloading material that was returned from the trailers and setting it in the return warehouse. After that, we would stage material that would be shipping out that same day, next to the correct trailer. Once that was done, I would head inside the warehouse and set up the L frame area by placing L frames back to back. Then, I would grab my order and place doors safely on the L frame. The doors would be tied up with twine and cardboard to ensure the doors wouldn't get any scratches on the way to the customer. After that was done, I would have to head outside to load the trailers. The biggest challenge for loading trailers was figuring out how to fit the material in order by drop. Sticks would be used to balance the material.
