Here to break the stereotype that if I couldn't do math before, then I can't do it now. - The main focus group was for middle school being able to represent word problems through visual aids rather than using algebraic equations.
- The outcome was that if students were able to solve word problems using tables and visual aids, than they were more likely to comprehend the problem than doing it algebracially.
