Ellis & Associates Lifeguard
As a lifeguard at Okana, I completed 60 hours of intense lifeguard training which enabled me to receive top-notch Ellis & Associates CPR and First AID certification. I monitored all different areas of the waterpark and was a certified deep water guard, I fostered close relationships with colleagues during training and on the job which in turn improved our skill and effectiveness when saving or interacting with a guest. I also maintained a safe and clean swimming environment, and created a fun and welcoming environment for guests, while strictly enforcing all park rules. As well as this, I was responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of all water-related areas; I swept, mopped, scrubbed, picked up trash and lifejackets, and cleaned bathrooms. I was helpful and kind to all guests, answering any questions asked while keeping my eyes on the water.
