In the patient transport role, I ensured the safe and efficient
movement of patients within the healthcare facility. My
responsibilities included assisting patients in transitioning
from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers while prioritizing their
comfort and adhering to stringent safety protocols. Proficient in navigating through hospital corridors and elevators, I coordinated effectively with medical staff to uphold timely schedules. My role extended to collaborating with the Trauma unit, where I supported paramedics in the transfer of critical patients from helicopters and ambulances. Additionally, I facilitated the transport of patients from the emergency unit to their designated rooms and conducted timely transfers for CT and EKG scans.
As a Phlebotomist in small town hospital, I provided critical healthcare services to underserved communities by ensuring accurate blood specimen collection and handling. My responsibilities included performing venipunctures and skin punctures for patients of all ages while prioritizing safety protocols and patient comfort. I also managed the labeling, storage, and transport of specimens, ensuring timely delivery to the laboratory for analysis. This role enhanced my skills in patient care, particularly within underserved healthcare environments.
In my role as a Sophomore Residential Assistant, I was instrumental in fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere in the dormitory, ensuring it was conducive to both personal and academic growth. I coordinated various educational and social initiatives, provided support for students' personal and academic challenges, and maintained a secure living environment. This position required strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, along with effective collaboration with a diverse group of individuals.
