- Volunteer at Election Poll: My responsibilities included greeting the voters, taking their information down so they could vote, putting the ballots into a secured place, setting up the place where we conducted our polls, and cleaning after we were done.
- Volunteer at Day of Science at the University of Pacific:The day of science consists of inviting elementary school students to the University of Pacific's auditorium to cultivate an interest in science by talking to them about it and helping them do projects related to physics's did a day of training before I went to volunteer at the Day of Science. The kids were split into groups by the schools they attended and were rotated between the different projects that were set up. My project was a catapult that had to do with physics, but was basic enough for kids to understand.
- Volunteer at Crab Feed:The Crab Feed is an annual event the city of Stockton holds for people who have family who are victims of homicides. I feel like this brings the city of Stockton together and helps people meet other people who have gone through the same tragic event. My group and I were tasked with bringing out the crab, shrimp, and pasta to the guests. We also made sure the guests had enough condiments while they were eating and also took out the trash and cleaned up when the event was done.
- Volunteer at Children's Halloween Party:This is a volunteering activity I did under Key Club which was hosted at the Children's museum in downtown Stockton.We helped serve food to families that came in with their children and cleaned up the room we hosted the event at after the event was finished.
- Volunteer at Pixie Woods Clean Up:This was a community service event under Key Club that tasked me with cleaning the Pixie Woods Park alongside a group. We also shoveled soil around designated areas of the park to plant new trees.
- Volunteer at American Legion Park:I was tasked with cleaning around American Legion Park in Stockton. We wiped down the tables and picked up any trash that we saw. I was leading my group I was assigned to make our efforts more organized and efficient.
- Drew Coloring Pages for Children Afflicted with Cancer:This volunteering event was under Key Club, Key Club is an international organization for high school students with a focus on volunteering and community service. Key Club gives students the opportunity to volunteer around their town.I've always wanted to make a difference in the community in Stockton, but this event made me realize that I don't have to do something grand to make a difference. If these coloring pages made even one child happier; I made a positive difference in my community and served Stockton well.
