I volunteer with a program called Prison to College at Berkeley, where I assist adult inmates who are working towards obtaining their GEDs. Additionally, I work with Incarceration to College, focusing on tutoring juvenile offenders who are pursuing high school or college courses while incarcerated. My specialization lies in developing support groups for formerly incarcerated students at community colleges. I have successfully established two such groups at separate community colleges in Los Angeles County, California. These initiatives aim to provide essential support and resources, helping these students navigate their educational pathways and integrate successfully into society.
