My Level 2 guard license was attained in 2020 and began security for R.R.I.S.D. extra curricular school activities. 5 Star is where I furthered my knowledge of protecting people and buildings outside of the school district. Keeping places secure all over the greater Austin area.

Here, I would:

• Overnight Surveillance for concert venues, facilities that request coverage.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment and machinery to maximize coverage of parking lots and building interior and exterior.
• Operate handheld metal detector and other surveillance devices to screen individuals entering facility.
• Record observations and occurrences and complete and submit incident reports.
• Act as deterrent to prevent criminal actions, vandalism and misconduct to allow business to conduct operations in safe environment.
• Investigate suspicious activities and persons to maintain security of premises.
• Patrol internal building spaces and facility grounds to identify and deter threats to assets.
• Examine doors, windows and gates to verify security.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Communicate with security team and building supervisors using two-way radios, mobile phones and other technological devices.

Golden Arrow Protection primarily secures Moody Amphitheatre, a premier live entertainment venue in downtown Austin, TX. 5 Star security, another security firm I work for, used to manage the venue but is now under different management. Here is an outside venue that can tend up to 2,000 concert goers.

Our duties were:

• Scanning incoming patrons and personnel using hand-held wands and metal detectors to protect venue, assets, and individuals.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations to assess and deflect issues.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.

This security firm protects hotels in downtown Austin. Usually an upscale venue and the outfit to match.

More upscale conferences i.e. Amazon, Google etc.

• August 18, 2006 - May 23, 2010 : Hired with R.R.I.S.D. as a textbook coordinator at Stony Point Ninth Grade Center. Established team priorities with teachers and principals on distribution of textbooks for a student population of 800. Most work was done at the beginning / semester / end of school when textbooks were returned. Maintained positive relations with students (parents if needed) by addressing problems head-on and implementing successful corrective actions for book returns.
• May 23, 2010 - May 23, 2016 : Security Lead: R.R.I.S.D. merged Stony Point High School 9th Grade Center with Stony Point main campus. Hired as Security Lead at Stony Point High School. A campus with a student population of 2,500, 5 principals, 4 S.R.O.s & a security team of 3. Established safety priorities with campus principals, S.R.O.s (Student Resource Officers) and maintained schedules for two other employees and monitored performance / outcomes of assigned duties.
• May 23, 2016 - May 23, 2023 - Educational Assistant / R.R.I.S.D. Security Guard (applied and was granted a level 2 security guard license)/: Transferred to Success High School, a smaller, learn at your own pace campus. Worked with teachers in the classroom on curricular studies. Getting students ready for graduating and prepared for S.T.A.A.R. testing. Within that time, a private security license was attained and was able to help secure R.R.I.S.D. extra curricular games i.e. football & soccer.
