Hobbies and Interests

Finding ways to feel energized overall outside of work helps me bring my best self to work. I find my energizers to be activities that keep me active such as running, dancing, weightlifting, hot yoga, and spending quality time with friends and family. Since moving to NYC I have loved exploring and being a tourist in the city whenever I can. I've completed a few Spartan Obstacles which has helped me learn how to become a better leader and find motivation through times that require more resilience and it has helped me coach others bring their best self to work based on their strengths. Participating in dancing videos organized by dance studios has worked my creative muscles and teach others about confidence often needed in the conference room with senior leaders. I’m also a certified Zumba instructor and believe learning how to move a room has also helped learn how to move a business team.

Affiliations

  • I picked up dancing classes in 2021 and was motivated to use dance as a way to keep active. I became a certified Zumba teacher and have been giving classes with different community groups in NYC, one of which was sponsored by Nike.
  • I enjoy keeping active generally as it helps me keep a balanced life, thus I also enjoy running: have done various 5Ks and obstacle course races such as Spartan, Rugged Maniac and Muddy Princess; volunteering: at Spartan races and the NYC Marathon to encourage racers; weightlifting: I truly believe weightlifting should be incorporated in all routines, especially for women as it can not only improve health but it can increase confidence, endurance and overall functional mobility.
  • Since moving to NYC in 2018, I have always enjoyed exploring the city and meeting people which has led me to having an expanded network and meet inspiring people.
  • Self-learning: I am a lifelong learner and love to spend some free time learning about ways to improve my own skills in coaching, project management, AI and generally making ways to make work more efficient, and entrepreneurship.
