- Review prescriptions and prepare compounded medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, in compliance with USP guidelines.
- Sustain attention to detail and accuracy in preparing medications.
- Use proper garbing techniques in accordance with SOP guidelines.
- Effectively use pharmacy computer system to review formula requests, weigh and measure medical ingredients for the specific formula, and print out worksheets/ labels to record proper documentation.
- Conducting regular cleaning and sanitization of the compounding area.
- Maintain knowledge of safety guidelines regarding hazardous drugs.
- Provide excellent communication with Pharmacists and healthcare providers regarding compounded medications and work regulations.
- Work well in a team setting, providing support and guidance.
- Cultivate interpersonal skills by building positive relationships with others.
