As an employee of Volt Power (formerly T&D Solutions) I used my ability to learn, absorb knowledge, and information from my peers, and apply that knowledge to further my career, eventually into a leadership role, as a lead Journeyman lineman on a transmission line crew. Within this progression, I performed numerous day to day tasks of varying levels of difficulty including the following.

• Climbed towers and poles performing general maintenance on Transmission and Distribution systems.
• Performed work on both de-energized and energized lines of varying voltages.
• Replaced and repaired transmission poles and associated hardware with new equipment. (H-frame, single pole, dead-ends, concrete, wood, steel, with and without underbuild)
• Re-conducting existing Transmission circuits.
• Performed switching, and tagging on substation and line equipment.
• Used as-built forms to document maintenance and updated in LWMS
• Planned, coordinated, and safely executed assigned jobs.

• Digger derricks
• Transmission and distribution bucket trucks

• Various types of heavy machinery (bull dozer, skid steer, 30+ ton cranes, skidder, etc.)

in my short time with the TDCJ I started out as a new recruit working in a maximum security facility with the most dangerous offenders in Texas. My hard work ethic and leadership abilities quickly caught the eye of my supervisors and I was chosen for a position in the Field Force, and as a Training Instructor. in these positions I performed a broad range of tasks including but not limited to.

• Maintained detailed daily logs of shift activity.
• Utilized a high level of teamwork and inclusiveness to maintain the security and safety of myself and my coworkers.
• Maintained clear and open communications with all facility areas to support efficient and safe operations.
• Supervised large offender work groups (20-50 persons) outside of the unit working in gardens, fields, and forrests.
