Played basketball and football

I played basketball for Howard County Parks and Recreational for 7 years and won two recreational championships in those 7 years playing shooting guard, small forward and power forward; filling in was an essential role when necessary. I earned the best sportsmanship award for my dedication, in those 7 year's I learned to be a team player, making decisions and stepping into roles that I didn't feel comfortable playing but knew it was essential for the team. I understood my role as a supportive team player and knowing when to be a leader and motivational influence to my teammates. When playing, I knew to listen to my coach in order to follow an established plan, and when to modify plays and I understood my responsibilities on the basketball court and the (football) field.

I played football for four years in high school, I was a linebacker, and I knew what to do at the position, my role was setting the edge for the defense and providing tackling for running plays. I always studied the plays our coaches sent in order to prepare for our next opponent. During the season, our coaches always reminded us to study your own position and to focus on how to play a better role, we were taught techniques in order to master positions and how to better serve the team.

HVAC experience

In my Junior and Senior years of high school as well as currently, in HCC I have studied HVAC. In both programs, I learned many skills, and was able to get OSHA-10, hand tools, and power tools certifications. I  learned about the the basics of safety, refrigeration cycle, power tools, hands tools, PVC, copper piping, among other skills and techniques. There were many guest speakers who came in every month, and talked about their careers and ,how they became successful. They also offered suggestions to us of what we should do in future.
