• Lead the development and launch of two new products (Knee and Sport) Heat Wraps, by planning the project timelines, creating design requirements, product drawings, product specifications, creating DFMEA, performing design verification testing and validation, and design transfer, while ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of the products.
• Lead an all-product material cost reduction project that covered all Thermacare’s product line, achieving a goal of 20% material cost reduction.
• Maintained and updated the design control procedures and documentation of the R&D Department, as well as DHFs for existing products.

• Created new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and processes that increased the efficiency of device manufacturing by reducing production costs.
• Designed test methods, and conducted test method validations.
• Lead investigations of device performance issues that resulted in finding root causes and solutions.
• Implemented lifecycle management changes for existing products, while following the design control procedures.
• Participated in clinical labs and procedures to obtain feedback from surgeons to improve the product.
• Established 3D printing stations within the company, which shortened prototype production time and reduced prototyping costs by up to 50%.

R&D Lab Tech I:

• Conducted various engineering test protocols and designs of experiments (DOEs) using various types of laboratory and analytical equipment. (i.e., optical comparators, microscopes, high pot testers, and tensile and torsion force testers)
