● Participated in individual genetic research working under Dr. Ginger Hunter.
● Worked with the model organism Drosophila melanogaster (Common fruit fly) to isolate clonal DNA by extracting RNA and running Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reactions.

● Used various staining and imaging techniques to identify phenotypic differences between fly samples of various genotypes.

● Observed the daily operations in the emergency room and aided in patient transport and other tasks as necessary.
● Watched many standard medical tests including EKG’s and arterial blood gas draws

● Discussed with physicians and other medical staff about the state of healthcare in Vietnam.
