Coordinate private and public resources to assist in technical aspects of business and land transfer. Agencies include the Vermont Land Trust, NOFA VT, private attorneys, private consultant Sarah Flack, CAE Farm Connex, and private appraisers.
Negotiations with Vermont Land Trust to enter Butterworks Farm into an agreement to purchase land through VLT Farm Futures Program.

Serving in various roles with our small herd of both grade cows and elite show cattle. Milking Jersey, Guernsey, Swiss, Holstein, Shorthorn, and Ayrshire.
DeLaval CIP system and bulk tank maintenance and sanitation.
Milking shifts ~4 days/week using best practices.
Train staff members on best practices and analyze milk quality reports to ensure compliance.
Equipment operations- loader, manure hauling and spreading, skidsteer work, haying, tillage, and pasture management.
Work to maintain herd health via vaccinations, quarantine protocols, sick cow care, and coordinate plans of care with livestock manager and veterinary team.
Work with team to achieve sub 50,000 SCC averages and sub 1,000 SPC averages.
Assist farrowing sows and jug lambing operations.
Provide over 200,000 yearly guests with an educational experience through formal interpretation and informal interactions. Large format public speaking and program design. Private speaking at donor focused events.
Assist with greenhouse production on limited basis.

Ran multi strand poly wire fencing to facilitate intensive rotational grazing.
Used grazing mathematics "cowboy math" to calculate the amount of available forage, land needed, and approximate move time of livestock.
Developed knowledge of forage and rangeland crops, appropriate use cases.
Developed knowledge of NRCS cost share and grant programs. Learned to complete NRCS field and grazing assesments.
