Summary

I attended Independence High School my freshman and sophomore year but moved to Tracy during summer 2022 and attended Tracy High School and graduated from there in May 2024. I have been volunteering ever since I was little even if it was at church or around the neighborhood. I love working with others and learning new ideas and ways I can better myself and the world. Working with animals has been a very special dream of mine and I have taken the initiative to take classes in high school to continue forward loving animals and hopefully being in the veterinarian field in the future. For the time being I have started working with kids and took a job at a YMCA and have opened a new love for working with kids and being able to help kids with school and express who they are as an individual. I am very grateful to have these volunteer jobs that have shaped and helped me to be the person I am today. I want to continue growing my skills and gaining new opportunities to do so.

Volunteer Experiences

Redemption Church - Church Volunteer

San Jose, CA ( 06/2021 - Current)

  • Have events at my church called First Friday every month and I would get there early to start setting up
  • I would help set up the place and start to organize and get things more put together
  • Events usually start at 6:30 and end around midnight, during the night I would help out with any of the activities they needed me to be at to run games or pass out food.

Tracy Animal Shelter - Volunteer

Tracy, CA (10/2022)

  • Provided care for animals by feeding, cleaning cages, walking dogs, and providing companionship.
  • Volunteered for an event the shelter was throwing called Fast and Furriest
  • I helped with preparing, set up, and breakdown of community and public events.
  • The event was a run that the community could participate in with their dogs, this raised money for the animals in the shelter for other necessities like food, toys, medicine, cages, etc.
  • I had arrived to the event in the morning and started helping out by setting up posters and signs along the running path of the companies that sponsored the run and the animals in the shelter that should be adopted.

Milpitas Pal Softball - Softball Umpire

Milpitas, CA (06/2022)

  • Took place at the Milpitas Fields where I was signaled other umpires, coaches, and league officials to indicate rule infractions and communicate other calls or circumstances relevant to scoring or rules implementation.
  • Dealt with coaches during games, addressing complaints against opposing teams for alleged rule infractions and administering penalties.
  • Delivered calls on every pitch, whether ball, strike or foul, keeping track of rapid pitcher, ball and batter movement to make accurate calls.
  • Confirmed that baserunners stealing bases reached the bases before being tagged out or picked off, calling out evaluations.
