Alaina Patterson

• In my current position at 212 Therapy, I specialize in delivering home-based therapeutic interventions tailored to pediatric patients. My responsibilities encompass a range of crucial tasks such as implementing therapy sessions focused on patient/caregiver education, sensory integration techniques, gross motor, and fine motor skill development, behavioral interventions, environmental modifications, and activities of daily living (ADL) training addressing individual needs and enhancing overall function. This position also includes crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique requirements of each pediatric patient, ensuring targeted interventions and measurable progress while also maintaining regular communication and collaboration with various healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care team.

• In my role at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center, I performed daily tasks typical for a COTA. This included working directly with clients, and helping them with exercises and activities to improve their daily skills. I also collaborated with the team, shared progress updates, and ensured a clean and organized therapy space. My primary job as an OTA throughout that month of experience was to provide my clients with the most client-centered treatment interventions to promote functional independence and improve my client's overall occupational performance skills through skilled OT services.

Through experience, I managed to make/serve drink orders as well as demonstrate flexibility with my time by delivering orders on time. Also, through that position, my role was to not only cashier/serve, but maintain as well as follow health regulations by stocking commonly used items at the shop and following cleaning precautions for customer safety.
