Summary

I grew up in a family business where I worked from an early age. It was a Lawnmower and Boat repair facility. I would also dabble in restoring cars and have always had a very strong mechanical inclination.

After high school I went to my current employer where I have been for over 47 years. I have held several positions at Emerson through the different departments and earned certificates in most every field including Human Resource. I guess you would say Mechanicing is in my blood. As I look towards retirement I am considering a part time position that fits my interest. Currently I would be available in the evenings and weekends. After my retirement I could expand those hours.

Maintenance and Facility Supervisor

  • Managed staff of 10, created work schedules, distributed assignments and supervised day-to-day operations.
  • Monitored inventory and ordered supplies while adhering to maintenance budget restrictions.
  • Scheduled routine maintenance and repair of facility equipment such as Machine shop equipment, assembly equipment, and HVAC System for 270,000 Sq. Ft. Manufacturing facility.
  • Developed and emplemented a Preventive maintenence program for the entire facility. A secondary function of my position was to manage large projects from purchsing equipment to the completion of a $5m expansion.
