Recognized for streamlining operations and enhancing team efficiency, my leadership significantly boosted project completion rates and operational readiness, earning accolades such as Senior Non-commissioned Officer of the year at Special Operations Command, Korea. Detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
I ran the program
So, I led a small team 2-5 (fluctuated at times) We provided personnel recovery Support for real world missions, from Routine, to high risk, to classified operations for the C-17 community.
We also supported aeveral guard and reserve units from NC, GA, SC, and TN. who did not have assigned SERE Specialists, so they would come to JBC to get their required training.
We worked with US Marshalls and conducted training for them in regards to how they track and pursue their targets using Charleston SC as a back drop
I had my own budget to resupply real world survival equipment and training equipment to include Trucks, trailers, ATV's, Boats, a myriad of survival equipment onboard a C-17.
I started out as Technical Trainer (teaching new airmen how to be a SERE Specialist) at this position.
I moved up to being a NCOIC leading other instructors in the training. We had a cadre of 26 instructors and we did two 6 month classes a year.
We would start with 62 candidates and end with anywhere from 8-34 each class.
80% of this training was conducted in field environments in the mountains, coastal regions, open seas, and high deserts of the Pacific North West. I was gone alot.
We never had any injuries or deaths and I was there for 8 classes and while there I deployed to Baghram Afghanistan for a classified deployment. during the deployment I worked as the Personnel Recovery Coordination Cell overseeing Special Operations missions and planning for contingencies.
Always worked with my hands which is what drew to my AF career choice as a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape Specialist. Having spent 10+ years in field environments improvising materials to meet my needs such as shelter, fire, and sustenance gathering as well of the needs of those I trained and where in my charge.
I like to streamline conversation when tasks are involved. Find the "why," figure out the "what" and move on to the next task.
Interpersonal effective communication is what drove me towards my degree path.
