  • Performed maintenance on the IEF Composer including dropping and recreating the databases with a new high-level qualifier and new storage group names. This maintenance reclaimed over 50% of the wasted space.

  • Combined and modified the system and application modified utility jobs. This batch job executes a QMF query to generate the modify control cards for all full image copy tablespaces. The control cards are passed to the MODIFY utility step and delete image copy records older than 30 days.
  • Modified the DB2 storage group DASD allocation as part of the SMS implementation for DB2 data sets.
  • Spoke about RACF/DB2 Security at the 3rd annual RACF Conference. The topics included an introduction to DB2, RACF administrator responsibilities, the DB2/RACF interface, and ACS/ICS RACF groups.
  • Coordinated the 2nd annual ACS Database Administrator (DBA) Conference.   • Developed work and training plans for branch employees to guide their professional development.
  • Hired new co-op student and was tasked as mentor for all co-ops within the agency.
