I worked in a general hospital setting as an advanced certified nursing assistant, assisting nurses with the care of patients, which included bathing (including bed baths, showers, and sponge baths), assisting patients with meals (feeding them if they were unable to feed themselves), and helping patients with ADLs, monitoring patients' vital signs, which include temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure, and recording them in a timely manner on the patients' chart. I worked in different units, which included the Emergency Room, ICU, PCU, IRU, Med Surge, and Oncology. I also watched patients on a 1:1 status for various reasons, such as suicide watch or confused state. Also transferred patients from bed to chair and vice versa. Also helped with transporting patients to X-ray, or to other units as needed. I also worked as a Telesitter at times, monitoring patients for various reasons, also giving reports to the incoming shift and receiving reports from the outgoing shift.
