I am responsible for sample acquisition/procurement in my current role. I review requirements for requests and set bidding windows for vetted vendors who have desired materials. Over this entire process I keep in communication with the vendor answering questions from both the research teams and vendors while the procurement process proceeds. Upon arrival of material I prepare samples for in-house testing. I label and number specimens for accurate recordkeeping and testing while using manifests from the vendors to insure proper material was sent and delivered for each research team/project. I provide all necessary documentation with each sample distributed from the vendors. I deliver said samples to either their research team/project directly or to the bank. In addition I am in charge of all Cytology samples on site from procurement to team use.
