Alessandro Tesolin

• Received the Alan and Deborah Chafitz Memorial Scholarship. This award was presented to a rising D4 student in good standing for a 1-year scholarship, who is in the top 50% of their class, shows leadership through volunteering, and who's show aptitude or interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, prosthodontics or periodontics.

President of the Italian Committee at Touro College of Dental Medicine, I led cultural and educational initiatives that celebrated Italian heritage and promoted inclusivity within the student body. I organized events in collaboration with other student organizations to strengthen community and cultural engagement.

Vice President of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Committee. Helped coordinate guest lectures and workshops to enhance student exposure to surgical techniques and career pathways. This role deepened my interest in the surgical field and allowed me to support peer learning and professional development.

President of the Practice Management Club. Organized events focused on the business side of dentistry, including private practice ownership, financial literacy, and leadership. I worked to prepare students for the practical realities of managing a dental practice.

Vice President of the Digital Dentistry Club, Helped introduce students to emerging technologies such as CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing. I coordinated hands-on sessions and advocated for integrating digital tools into clinical education and practice.

• Fundraiser (marathon ) Go Fund me: After battling anxiety and depression, I took upon myself to raise money for a cause which I l believe in. In doing so, I ran a virtual marathon where I raised 3275$ for the Canadian Mental Health Association to help people who are suffering with mental illness.
• Co-Founder Laval Covid Relief: A non-profit organization of volunteers who pick- up and deliver groceries to vulnerable communities in the Laval area. In memory of my uncle who passed away from COVID-19, Ifound ti essential to help those most at risk by safely delivering essentials to them.

• Mixed Martial Arts Practitioner/Trainer – Trained and competed since 2013 at Tristar Gym; earned a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and completed advanced Muay Thai training in Thailand.
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver – Certified in advanced open water diving, with experience in deep dives, navigation, and specialty underwater skills.
