- The Head Agriculture Auditor is mandated to provide management and the Audit Committee with an opinion on the adequacy of internal controls of all agriculture operations (from land preparation to the delivery of canes to the factory) and also to periodically examine each operation to ascertain if they are being executed following the corporation's guidelines
- Develop annually with Management a system for Identification and analysis of all major agricultural risks to the Corporation
- Formulate and execute an Audit Plan to achieve the Department's objectives and report to the Audit Committee and Management
- Report to Estate Management areas of identified operational deficiencies and develop with the Estate and relevant technical staff appropriate corrective plan of action
- Review and report on the timeliness and relevance of agricultural and other information provide to management
- Coordinate coverage with the Internal Audit Department and ensure both parties are aware of the other's work and areas of concern
- Conduct reviews/tasks requested by the Audit Committee, Chief Executive or Finance Director that do not compromise the independence or objectivity of the Agricultural Audit function
- Provide Management and the Audit Sub-Committee of the Board of Directors with an opinion on the adequacy of internal controls of the Corporation
