Position Title: ESL Teacher’s Assistant (Volunteer)

Location: Neighborhood House of Milwaukee

Time Commitment: 2 hrs/week
Duration: 4 months

• Assist the ESL teacher with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and instructional delivery.
• Provide individual or small group support to students during class sessions.
• Help reinforce vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
• Offer encouragement and guidance to learners of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
• Help prepare, distribute, and organize learning materials.
• Track student participation and progress, as needed, in collaboration with the lead instructor.
• Support administrative tasks such as attendance, record-keeping, and setup/cleanup.
• Participate in volunteer training and regular team check-ins.

Position Title: Summer Theatre Camp Counselor
Location: Riverside, Il
Camp Dates: May 10–August 2, 2022
Hours: Tuesday/Thursday 11:00-2:00
Reports To: Theatre Camp Director

• Supervise and engage a group of campers throughout daily theatre-based activities.
• Assist with workshops in acting, improvisation, voice, movement, stagecraft, or other theatre disciplines.
• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence-building in young performers.
• Support the planning and execution of rehearsals, games, and final performances.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Help with setup and cleanup of camp activities, including props, costumes, and stage areas.
• Communicate effectively with camp staff, directors, and parents as needed.
• Be a positive role model and actively contribute to the spirit and success of the camp.
