  • Able to perform all the basic duties of the lamination process such as defect-free fiberglass roll out, laminate sanding prep, part inspection and defect removal and startup and shutdown duties
  • Responsible for all metered equipment and equipment maintenance
  • Assistance to Perform startup and shutdown tasks quickly
  • Inspect parts for gel coat and laminate defects to ensure high quality standards before each phase of the lamination process
  • Able to grind out laminate defects without damage to the gel coat or the mold
  • Keep all fiberglass off the floors and keep work area clean and organized at all times
  • Training New oncoming employees to build fiberglass parts of the boat using a hand lay process to apply the skin coat, bulk coat laminate, core materials and final layer of laminate
  • The laminator builds any fiberglass part using this process
  • Knowledge in proper handling and mixing gelcoats, resins, and catalysts
  • Communication skills to discuss any issues with Engineers, supervisors, and managment
  • Team Work so our department meets standards for quality, cost control, scheduling and proper procedures
  • Prep the laminate by sanding burrs and lumps that prevent defect-free fiberglass roll out

  • I have completed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) 10-hour safety training program course. I am educated and trained upon the awareness of my self, workers and managers about work place hazards and the necessary controls to ensure safety. I passed this program back in March of 2015 for general industry work certificate. As of 2024, I am still certified.
  • Heavy equipment training in Bulldozer, excavator, skidsteer, forklift/tull,and remote control compactor saftey and oporation. Being certified in OSHA has given training in safe operation, basic level machinery mechanics, and industry standards.
