Kart Sport is an importer and distributor of racing engines, part, and tires for national competition in go-kart racing. My main role in the organization was shipping and receiving. I was the main person responsible for fulfilling daily orders for our dealer network and retail customers for shipping. This also included the receiving of palletized air freight flown into Charlotte International airport. The role included providing customer service to the dealer network and direct customers as it related to their orders.

My role was as an interior and exterior detailer as the cars came out of the car washing machine. This required me to look through both the interior and exterior of the cars, identify additional areas which needed to be addressed, clean those areas with the correct cleaning products and techniques, while being very efficient so that the cars would not queue up. This role also provided communicating with the customers to ensure they left happy with the cleaning work on their vehicles.

GoPro Motorplex is a top national go kart racing facility which has national kart racing, as well as having rental karts and doing special events for organizations. My main role was in the front office where I greeted customers, and provided point of sales to rental and owner karts. This required me to check driver's licenses, sign up new customers, and assign them to racing sessions. My role also included the sale of products such as fuel, tires, cameras and race wear to customers. During big racing events, I was typically also involved with providing additional bandwidth and support to the race organizers often helping where an additional person was needed. This role helped me develop strong interpersonal communication skills with a focus on resolving customer issues in a positive manner. I also learned a lot about point of sales through this work, such as working on a point of sales computer system, and handling both in person and over phone clients.
