Alexa Hedinger

I am in the Senior class of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at the University of Southern Indiana and am on tract to graduate in May of 2026. I have a year of experience in General and Obstetrics departments as a student, as well as two months of experience in an Echo department. Throughout my experience as a student, my passion has grown for wanting to aid patients in finding a diagnosis or contributing to the care plan of the individual. I have learned how to write appropriate reports for physicians, properly clean patient rooms and our equipment, perform full echocardiograms, and am currently in the process of learning how to aid cardiologists in transesophageal echocardiograms. I am most eager to pursue a career as a cardiac sonographer excited to continue to learn and improve my skills as a sonographer. Thank you.
