A student worker position where staff perform husbandry as well as collect and record data from research swine. This work is performed in a disinfected lab.

I worked at the PACES summer program from June to August annually and took care of elementary aged kids with Lead Staff. My responsibilities were to:

• Provide aid to the Lead Staff member in charge of the room
• Stay engaged with all children ensuring no child was left out or unassisted
• Ensure a positive and safe environment
• Know emergency response procedures for any and all situations
• Served as a positive role model for young children by modeling appropriate language usage, manners, and conflict resolution methods.
• Led indoor and outdoor activities to entertain and occupy children.

To ensure the safety of all people on the pool deck at all times during shift while also being proficient in all circumstantial Emergency Action Plans.

My accomplishments consist of being promoted from Lifeguard to Associate Lifeguard and then promoted to Head Lifeguard. I became a person who prioritized the safety and quality of every patron and ensured staff were maintained as well as provided a healthy working environment.
