In addition to performing charge nurse duties as mentioned at previous job I do the following:

• Assist floors with tasks such as IV insertion, diffusing issues with staff, and handling issues that arise with patients.
• Serve as code blue team responding to units with rapid responses and code situations and providing care using ACLS protocol until providers arrive.
• Perform monthly chart audits
• perform controlled substance checks weekly
• perform daily equipment checks and inventory

• Train new nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
• Coordinated nursing care on unit through staff assignments, assisting and rounding with physicians, monitoring patient orders, and communicating with ancillary departments.
• Conducted daily shift briefs to inform staff of changes in patient care assignments.
