CONTRACT SPECIALIST/OFFICER
1 Year- At DLA I have continued to grow in my role as a Contracting Specialist and Officer. I continue to work high priority and dollar folders to fulfill our defense mission. Additionally, I have started working in the following areas:
- Became the primary PoC and expert on our FMS programs. Helped update Job Aids and ensured requirements are being met in a timely fashion
- Negotiated multi-million-dollar IDIQ contract to save ~$2.5 million
- Helped sign for and manage the workload of 3 Contract Specialists in the FMS department
- Participated in Job Aid team to help improve work practices and provide RFQ updates regularly during a 2-year rotation
- Help DLA and team members exceed metric expectations by at least 20% required
- 2026 Spring Employee of the Quarter Recipient
- Assisted with training and mentoring less experienced team members. Helped provide feedback on work, onboard and manage workload balance when needed
CONTRACT SPECIALIST
2 Years 10 Months- At NAVSUP I have gained valuable experience both in my role as a Contract Specialist and growing into a leadership role with N774: Special Programs. Along with performing regular job duties I have accomplished the following:
- Worked as a primary POC for on boarding and training new team members as they join the team
- Exceeded job metrics each year I have worked at NAVUP by at least 30% over required
- Helped with reviewing and working awards and mods for various team members as needed
- Work multiple High $ contracts and have used the FAR regulations to negotiate and obtain the best value for the government and vendors
Communications Specialist
1 Year 7 Months- Communicating with our clients via press releases, developing training materials, and improving our software for users while also working on marketing campaigns to obtain new clients in the process.
- Communicate with clients directly/indirectly daily to help improve their process or find ways to develop our software for their needs.
