Alexander George

Network and Systems Administrator
Albuquerque,New Mexico

Summary

My name is Alexander and I am Marine Veteran living in Albuquerque, NM. I am currently a Network Administrator at New Mexico Retiree Healthcare Authority. I am currently working on certifications to better my knowledge/ I love to learn about things outside of my comfort zone and I work till the issue is resolved. During my time in the United Stated Marine Corps, I learned so much outside of the scope of my Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). I was knowledgeable enough to be sent to Norway as a Liaison for II Marine Expeditionary Force. I also assisted in supporting units domestic and abroad within the Fleet Marine Force and Fleet Marine Force Reserve. After Transitioning I picked up a Job with SMS as a Tech Controller. I was able to get a good understanding of MPLS Networks and got a great understanding of how different ISP's get specific services to their customers. After 9 months of working in this field I decided I wanted more of a challenge. I got a job at New Mexico Retiree Healthcare Authority and I've learned so much in a short time. I have learned so much about Server Provisioning, Creating VM's, Storage Management, among so many other things. I have been able to deploy Linux machines, Create Failovers, and manage encrypted backups across the network. My next plans are to move up within this field and to learn wherever I go to provide the best to any company.
