I have assisted at my mother's business since I was eight in the events management industry (e-creative events). The company's focus is non-profit and corporate event production and execution. I often assist in the areas of event preparation (setup, organizing, day-of errands, and procurement). In this business, I have learned the importance of listening, working quickly and efficiently, and ensuring the customer has a positive experience.

I worked as a team member during the most recent Minnesota State Fair. Due to the high volume of customers, this role required excellent customer interaction skills, organizational skills, speed, and a high focus on quality. I was responsible for preparing various types of menu items, including many types of waffles and toppings. I was responsible for keeping the back of house clean and prepping toppings for the waffles. Additionally, I worked the register some mornings and made sure the customers enjoyed their experience by having a nice, warm-hearted conversation. On one of our busiest days, we made over $80,000. I also worked in extreme weather conditions.
