I enlisted out of high school in 2018, I was the top shooter out of my platoon in boot camp out of 100 other marines, and I scored 337/350.
I went to the school of infantry where I became a rifleman (0311)
I completed a workup with 2nd Battalion 7th Marines, as an 18-year-old junior Marine, I was assigned the billet of radio telephone operator for my infantry platoon. during my time in this position, I was trusted with maintaining communication, with higher echelons of leadership relaying information from my platoon commander to my company commander.
I was then deployed to Afghanistan from September 2019 until April 2020, where my platoon and I worked as a quick reaction force, as well as a vital security element for the forward operating base that we were assigned to. during our missions, we conducted security patrols mounted and dismounted to ensure the security of all lives that were on the base.
After my return to the United States in the spring of 2020, I then became a team leader. As a team leader, I was responsible for the conduct and development of my junior marines. As well as all equipment that was in my fire team. As a team leader, I have conducted countless live-fire exercises. mission planning and briefing.
Second workup was to Japan(fall 2021-2022 spring) where I was promoted to assistant patrol leader and granted more responsibility for conducting training and several other military exercises for the squad that I was in.
While in Japan I was sent to school (10/2022 - 12/2022) to become a coxswain (0316) where I learned maritime navigation and piloting vessels. boat formations, complex problem-solving. basics of troubleshooting boat engines, As well as advanced problem-solving skills.
I finished my 4 years with an Honorable Discharge, I now attend College at Loyola University Chicago
