• I was given the opportunity to shadow an infectious disease prevention nurse and Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, NC. I learned a lot from this shadowing opportunity learning numerous measures taken and techniques to limit the spread of infectious diseases in hospitals. Furthermore, I was shown the precautions taken and how outbreak issues are resolved if they occur.
