· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record system

· Coordinate inpatient scheduling within the unit

· Assist healthcare team with various administrative tasks to support efficient unit operations

· Responds to changes in surgery schedule and refers telephone messages regarding patient information to the appropriate personnel

· Maintains surgical billing, supplies, equipment, and places orders for service, coordinating with various healthcare personnel as required

· Greet patients that arrive for same day surgery.

· Assist with pre-operative preparations including vital signs, getting patients changed into a hospital attire and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
