• Conducting patient assessments, obtaining comprehensive medical histories, and triaging incoming pets to prioritize care
• Applying stabilization techniques, such as fluid resuscitation, temperature regulation, and oxygen therapy
• Administering outpatient supportive care to stable patients
• Offering compassionate counseling on humane euthanasia and end-of-life services

ICU

• Providing exceptional care for hospitalized pets across urgent care, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery, ensuring optimal recovery
• Monitoring vital signs and recovery progress for post-operative patients
• Evaluating mentation and pain levels while administering treatments promptly to provide comfort and reduce stress for hospitalized patients
• Educating pet owners on essential at-home care and follow-up

In-House Laboratory Equipment Manager

• Overseeing care of all in-house laboratory analyzers through daily quality control, periodic maintenance, and necessary troubleshooting to guarantee accurate diagnostic results for improved patient outcomes
• Fostering relationships with Heska and IDEXX representatives to expand in-house diagnostic capabilities

• Creating and facilitating lessons for children aged 5-12 covering topics such as the human-animal bond, responsible pet care, safe animal interactions, the role of shelters, and animal-related careers
• Supervising and guiding animal care including feeding and cleaning housing for cats and small animals
• Coordinating with guest speakers from organizations including Therapy Dogs of Vermont, Protect Our Wildlife, and South Burlington Animal Control

• One of 15 people caring for over 100 dairy cows through Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management (CREAM)
• Feeding and milking cows, maintaining barn cleanliness, and administering vaccinations and treatments to promote herd health
• Supporting cows during parturition and providing postpartum care for mothers and calves
• Contributing to key decisions related to breeding and culling
