Alexandra Holbrook

Dedicated and versatile RN with five years of comprehensive experience across multiple disciplines, including step-down trauma, emergency care, telemetry, psychiatry, neurology, and intensive care units. My diverse background in nursing, as well as a bachelor's degree in neuroscience prior to my nursing career, has equipped me with a robust skill set and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a variety of challenging settings.

My journey in the medical field began with a transformative experience in Ghana at the age of 18. This pivotal year where I volunteered in teaching and shadowing healthcare professionals exposed me to the stark realities of healthcare in under-resourced regions. Contracting Malaria and experiencing hospitalization in a rural facility not only provided me with firsthand insight into the challenges faced in these environments but ignited a passion within me to pursue a career dedicated to improving health outcomes. I further strengthened my capabilities by returning to Africa, this time working as an RN in Kenya, where I was able to apply my skills in diverse healthcare settings and contribute to meaningful patient care. Throughout my career, I have developed a robust foundation in patient assessment, critical care, and health education, enabling me to advocate for the needs of my patients effectively.
